The Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sports held an event dedicated to the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Uzbekistan Cricket Federation and the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sports on the development of the cricket sport.
Aziz Mihliev, the chairman of the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan, Kamil Bayazitov, vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations of the university, Shuhrat Tolaganov, the head of the department of handball, tennis, badminton theory and methodology, professors-teachers of the university, students and mass media employees were present and participated at the event. 
The purpose of this memorandum signed between the university and the cricket federation consists in carrying out a number of tasks, such as selecting talented student-athletes by attracting them to sports and organizing cricket competitions, exchanging knowledge and experience in the fields of education, science, spiritual and educational fields, to further develop the sport of cricket among young people, to popularize the sport of cricket among university students and to encourage them to do so. 

Within the framework of the mutual agreement between the federation and the university, it was also agreed to organize short training courses involving cricket specialists as well as to start publishing scientific pamphlets on the sport of cricket.
At the end of the event, the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan presented honorary certificates to the active participants, and a letter of thanks to the rector of the university and other officials.
It should be noted that the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan officially started its activities on November 29, 2019, and with the initiative of the chairman of the federation, Aziz Mihliev, international relations were established in cooperation with countries where the sport of cricket is developed.
