People with limited opportunities and disabilities can now play cricket, in our country. This was stated by the Secretary General of the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan, Jahangir Murodov, during the first training session held at the specialized school for disabled children No. 66 in the Chilonzor district of our capital, with the participation of cricket coaches and athletes.
Last year, the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan together with the central management of the Society of Disabled People of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of cooperation to ensure the popularization of physical education and sports, including cricket, among the general population, especially among people with disabilities. As part of this cooperation, the cricket federation started good works from the first days of the new year.
The Secretary General of the Cricket Federation, Jahangir Muradov, stressed the importance of forming teams and holding competitions among them by actively involving young people with limited opportunities in cricket. Moreover, with the participation of cricket players, they explained the rules of cricket and demonstrated them in practice through the game.
Young people who have strength and willpower who participated in the training and directly observed the exhibition of the cricket training session expressed their interest in cricket sport and their desire to participate in the trainings and form teams for this sport.
It should be noted that these efforts are being implemented on the basis of a memorandum of cooperation signed between the country's cricket federation and the disabled society of Uzbekistan.
