The Chairman of Uzbekistan Cricket Federation, Aziz Mikhliyev, International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Asia Development Head, Iqbal Sikander, Finance and Operations Officer, Niteesha Kothari, held talks with the media at the National Press Center of the city of Tashkent.There are 15 cricket teams in Uzbekistan. Along with this, 2 teams of foreign specialists have been formed.

The ICC experts staying in Uzbekistan are studying the possibilities of developing this sport, public interest in it. After the results and conclusions about the prospects for the development of cricket in Uzbekistan are presented to the leadership of the International Council, the issue of admitting the Uzbekistan Cricket Federation to the memberships of the International and Asian Cricket Councils will be considered.
